Clever growth, international ambition and strategic foresight: this employment boutique with roots in Berlin has impressed the market with this combination. The youngest office, Frankfurt, became the driving force behind the firm, which is now active nationwide. Dr. Dirk Freihube, who joined in early 2016 from Arnecke Sibeth, and above all Dr. Holger Thomas, who came from WilmerHale a year ago, brought valuable contacts among corporates such as McDonald’s. The pre-eminent team the new partners found at PW was the ideal basis for them to successfully build on existing work.
On top of this, time and again PW demonstrates innovative spirit in the hard-fought employment market: the team now operates as an outsourced employment litigation department for a whole host of large companies – which is only possible because its size and homogeneity allow the firm to establish the appropriate specialties. In addition, major instructions, which are of a sizeable number these days, are now firmly assigned to certain partners. These are also in charge of coordinating interdisciplinary and, above all, international work. Because even at international level PW has done an incredible job: cooperation within the L&E Global network functions without a hitch – only international practices like Freshfields or model boutique Kliemt have similarly strong setups. Pusch Wahlig has thus mastered the main challenges currently facing boutiques – nationwide visibility, specialization and a working international network – and is thus a sizeable step ahead of many of its competitors.
