Comment: A leading player for company succession and trusts which impressively underscored its position: P+P developed Frankfurt into a port of call for private clients, esp. family offices, alongside the established Berlin and Munich offices. The move of former head of company succession at PwC, Dr. Martin Liebernickel, to P+P’s Frankfurt team as salary partner (with an experienced associate) was in line with this. The outstanding Berlin office grew its partnership by appointing Dr. Jens Steinmüller, highlighting the strong business development. The exceptionally close internal ties between tax, ?real estate and PE are the basis of success and lead to much international work, e.g. related to the consequences of Brexit for British clients, or for German HNWIs with a growing sensitivity to international tax issues.
