Comment: At this leading firm for company succession, tax advice is growing in importance. Traditionally a purely corporate firm, HK&L is thus responding to the changing requirements, not only brought by the new inheritance tax regime, but primarily due to international family setups, e.g. relocation issues. The appointment of Andrea Seemann as partner backs up this development. She is the second tax partner in the small partnership. HK&L also devoted more attention to company acquisitions and sales as alternative succession planning instruments. But the core of activity is still work in company decision-making bodies.
Strengths: Close ties between company succession and corporate.
